Sponsored by Brick City Bike Coalition, Bike JC, and the New Jersey Division of Highway Traffic Safety, the New Jersey Bike and Walk Coalition (NJBWC) will host a free virtual information session to discuss hands-on e-bike training opportunities, plus updates about the state's new e-bike law. The virtual session is open to all and ideal for all family members, parents, guardians, teens, and anyone with access to your e-bike, to understand the unique challenges and liabilities that come with using an e-bike.

- Choosing a Safe and Legal E-bike for Your Teen: A Parent’s Guide – Start with building a good relationship with a local bike shop that will be able to properly assemble and service whatever bike you end up purchasing.
- Start with a properly certified e-bike battery! – Always choose an E-bike with a UL 2849 electrical system or UL 2271 certified battery. This certification ensures the battery meets strict safety standards, reducing the risk of fire or other hazards.
